Meet the Amazing Mary Parrish

Meet the Amazing Mary Parrish

Mary Parrish is a woman I was lucky enough to cross paths with. She is a co-author in an upcoming Lisa Nichols book titled Living Proof. This is a book I’m heavily involved with as it’s part of the work I do with the CA publishing company.

Once each book is complete (that we’re working on) I manage an Amazon Bestseller Campaign to launch the book. When I do this, I offer a service to work one-on-one with each author in the book (30-40 authors usually) to help coach them on product development or build a sort of one-page website for them. Mary took me up on that offer.

I was preparing for our call – reading her book chapter and this Questionnaire I had her fill out. She had asked me if I would also watch a 5minute speech she had given. Of course I’d love to! I watched it and […]

Three Phases of Enlightenment to Reclaim Your Bright Future

Three Phases of Enlightenment to Reclaim Your Bright Future

Fear is a very common, recurring, natural emotion. If it never fully goes away, we need to learn to develop a relationship with that fear so it no longer controls us.

In order to get ourselves back on track we must step through three phases of enlightenment. The first is to reconnect with our Self by remembering our core values, strengths and goals. Only by doing this can we move into the second phase which is to see past our fears. When we finally make this shift, we will be able to look into our future once more with purpose and excitement. Our third phase is to take action. Once we take action we are reminded of our worth. It is when we feel worthy that the strongest forces in the world can no longer stop us.

What does it mean to reconnect with our Self? Because we all have different trials, […]

When People Don’t React the Way You’d Hoped…

When People Don’t React the Way You’d Hoped…

At least a few major times in everyone’s lives, disappointment creeps in. We have great news, hit an accomplishment, got a good result and can’t wait to share the details – always first with the person we think will be most excited or proud of us.

That person, at that one point in time, for whatever reason, ends up disappointing you. They don’t fully listen; they say “good job” but then follow immediately with something negative or pessimistic; they just don’t show up the way you hoped they would.

Immediately your bright and energetic excitement turns into a dull cloudy hurt. It has happened. It will continue to happen. Most importantly, we can try to get new perspective on the situation so the low’s aren’t quite so low.

One reason people can’t fully engage in your excitement is because they are not feeling excited in their own lives. Consider all of the stress […]

Lost to Found Series: Cheryl’s Story “Growing Up is Hard to Do”

Lost to Found Series: Cheryl’s Story “Growing Up is Hard to Do”

I received a new Story Submission from a mother in Arlington, Texas last week. By looking at her picture below, you can probably tell (as I did) she is very wise. Her story will shock you, comfort you and help expand your thinking. Cheryl has brought us a new perspective on stories shared. She reflects as the “mother” and “care taker” of many friends growing up. Those she held the hair of while they puked at parties, those who stopped talking to her for petty reasons, those who took drugs, those who committed suicide, those on medication and many more.

When I finished this story, posted from her own blog, I was disappointed because I wanted to read more, more, more. This story is a MUST READ. Cheryl shares some incredible insights within the last few paragraphs of her post. Let them sink in. You will be in good company.

Cheryl’s advice:

Remember… […]

Q&A: I Want to Start Writing and Helping Others, How and Where Do I Start?

Q&A: I Want to Start Writing and Helping Others, How and Where Do I Start?

I received a question from a reader who was interested in writing. She saw this site and what I am trying to accomplish through my writing. She wanted to know what she could do to get involved, start her own thing, and help others. I know many of you out there are in a similar boat – with that stirring inside. I asked her permission to share snippets of our back-and-forth conversation because I think it would be valuable for you to read.

Question: I want to start writing but I don’t know what to do or how to start. Help?

My answer:
Hey girl – Writing is the BEST!! Let’s first explore what you would want.

There are many options that can get you feeling like your really doing something great and helping people, or just even provide a quick side project to get started.

1. My first recommendation is to start a blog. […]
